Online Engagement & Brand Reputation Management
Ponte Winery is an upscale winery, inn and restaurant collection in the Temecula Wine County. The were a well-known brand in the community, however their online outreach and engagement was not resonating with their audiences.
When I joined Ponte as the Online Engagement and Brand Reputation Manager, the brand's social media was lack luster and not very engaging. I pitched the owner and marketing manager on strategies to best engage their audience, which doesn't always have to be about wine.
I launched a successful social media campaign which included Twitter and Facebook. Additionally, I started their Instagram and Pinterest accounts, positioning the winery, restaurants, and inn as leaders in lifestyle offerings in Temecula.
Additionally, I developed and executed robust and integrated online contests, create video content, provided blog content, contributed to general marketing and communications strategies, and the grand opening strategy for the Inn and two new restaurants.
I also developed a strategy for addressing the brand's reputation across all online review platforms including Trip Advisor, Yelp and various wedding review sites. This work focused on addressing negative reviews directly and extending the interaction offline. This successful strategy gave the brand the opportunity to manage their online reputation and change many of the stories from negative to positive.
Through my time at Ponte, I was able to build a robust online presence, securing a higher Klout score than: Kendal Jackson, La Crema, Round Pond, and South Coast. Coming in with a Klout score of 63, we started at 29.
With Facebook being the larger engagement tool, the Ponte fans started with 5182, and ended with over 10,000, and Twitter increased over 2500 followers. Each of these was grown organically through integrating social media throughout all marketing efforts for the brand.
